Micro, small and medium enterprises are the backbones of all economies – worldwide. However, most of them provide sub-standard results due to missing knowledge and experience as well as poor financial management. With strategic sectoral support (such as the nucleus approach or value chain development), institutional and organisational development, marketing and business linkages as well as participant-centred entrepreneurship development training programmes (learning by doing; CEFE methodology) existing entrepreneurs can be coached to perform much better in their respective value chain.
Additionally, we provide a number of specific tools to become better planners, organisers, managers or performers so as to create entrepreneurship models in any given society geared to inspire others to follow. Linking MSME development with know-how and resources from the Diaspora is an increasingly important option.
